šŸ›ļø What to Bring

Fabric

We recommend reading the pattern sizing details (follow the pattern link above) when calculating fabric requirements,

Light weight woven fabric, ideally with a bit of drape. I would avoid picking a rayon or something very drapey if you are new to sewing as this can make the sewing extra tricky. Try a light weight cotton (such as voile, batiste, lawn) as this will have a bit of drape but still be very stable to sew. A cotton rayon blend or something similar will also work well, but just make sure it is n’t a fabric that will slip around too much.

Fabric amounts (size dependent)

- Midi 1.75cm - 3 metres

- Maxi 2.2 - 4 metres

- Split Front Midi 1.6 - 2.5cm

- Split Front Maxi 2-3 metres

- High low hem 1.8 - 3 metres

Notions

- Elastic 61-101cm

- Enclosed, topstitched and paperbag all require 40mm elastic

- Paperbag covered 25mm elastic

- Covered can use either 25mm or 40mm elastic

Matching thread

(Thread and sewing notions can be purchased at Sewing Gem during class. Fabric will need to be purchased beforehand.)
