Suitable for boys and girls, these shorts can be recreated hundreds of times with a variation of finishes. Perfect for beginner sewers, the pattern has two waistband options plus short, knee length and 3/4 length variations. There are five different finishes for the hem (basic, cuff, ruffle, triangle cut out and elastic) all of which can be used on ANY length of shorts. You can make the Flexi-Shorts time and again, with a look for every occasion. The options really are endless, meaning you have a single go-to shorts pattern to see children all the way through early childhood. Go vintage with the high paper bag waist and ruffled hem above the knee. Embrace the ever-practical hip-sit elastic waist and pair it with the tailored look of cuffs. Or whip up a gorgeous set of bloomer inspired shorts with the elastic waistband and elastic bubble style hem. This shorts/bloomers pattern is available in sizes 0000(newborn)-10 and is suitable for beginner sewers. The Flexi-Shorts can be made in any light, medium or even heavy weight woven.
